Have your CAKE and Eat it to

There is a birthday in our house at the end of the week and we have been busy making it all come together.  With my mind on cake, I thought I would share some of the cakes that I have made over the last few years.

I made this cake for my friends mom’s 50th.  It was my first attempt at making and decorating.

The little girl next door had a Tinker Bell Birthday. This was her cake!

I like the different textures of the butter cream and the fondant.

The Farm Cake was made for my daughter when she turned 3.  She loves all things Farm!

This was from the year my husband took up golf.

But he has always loved trucks and machinery so candy rocks and chocolate dirt never fail with him.  On the topic of making cake for my non-chocolate loving husband I once made him a meat loaf cake.  I even colored the mashed potatoes and decorated it.  He may have realized then that I was a little crazy.

Speaking of crazy, here is a cake that me and the kiddies made for our dogs 4th birthday.

Lately the birthday girl is loving Abby Caddabby from Sesame Street.  A friend of mine found a place that will print this picture on fondant.  This will go on top of the cake.  Once I have it finished I will be sure to share it.

This post has made me realize that my pictures need a better organization system.  Perhaps that’s what I will work on now.

Thanks for reading!
